WHO CAN BE a WCDC? 

• Employment & Training professionals
• Career Coaches, Counselors, Navigators, and related professionals
• Local Workforce Development Board staff 
• PA CareerLink(R) provider staff 
• Attendees include tenured executives and entry-level staff 
• Individuals interested in obtaining the GCDF, CWDP, and/or CCSP credentials

EMBED IN THE WORKPLACE

WCDC training is built upon the National Career Development Association’s (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development (FCD) curriculum and three nationally accredited, industry-recognized certifications. The certifications include:

• the Certified Career Services Provider Certification (CCSP), 
• the Global Career Development Facilitator Certification (GCDF), and 
• the Certified Workforce Development Professional Certification (CWDP).

• Center for Continuing Education (CCE)
• National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP)

The WCDC includes over 20 core competencies that all workforce development professionals should possess to provide their customers with superior service and expertise in the areas of assessment, career planning, business services, working with diverse populations, and ethics.

A pre-training kick-off, Thursday, June 25, 2026, 1:00 pm virtually

Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Lancaster CareerLink, 1046 Manheim Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Lancaster CareerLink, 1046 Manheim Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

Subsequent virtual weekly sessions on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm:

July 14, 21, 28

August 4, 11, 18, 25

September 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

Cost for Course and Course materials: $1,600

The WCDC^® course is 120 training hours in total including instruction and completion of all work associated with course completion. 

Upon successful completion and mastery of the WCDC^® curriculum, including adequate completion of all assignments and demonstration of required participation, students will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate confirms that the student has gained the knowledge and core competencies listed above, and may be used to apply for the certifications noted above (CCSP, GCDF, and CWDP).
