PWDA is hosting two listening sessions focused on Medicaid Community Engagement (work) Requirements, and we want to hear directly from you. With the passage of HR 1 in July of 2025, states are now on the clock to meet new Medicaid Community Engagement Requirements by January 1, 2027. These sessions are intended to gather insight on how these requirements may impact participants, employers, and the workforce system, and to better understand where coordination, capacity, and support will be most needed.
Your feedback will help inform PWDA’s advocacy, partnerships, and programming priorities as Pennsylvania prepares for implementation. Each session will be informal, discussion-based, and stakeholder-driven, with a distinct audience focus:
Upcoming Medicaid Work Requirement Listening Sessions – April 2 Medicaid Work Requirements: Workforce & Community Partner Listening Session April 2nd: 1:00–2:30 PM
For workforce system staff, community organizations, partners, and programs supporting participants who will need to meet Community Engagement Requirements. Whether you are already planning for these changes or just beginning to assess what they may mean for your work, your perspective matters. Participants are welcome to attend the session that best aligns with their role.
